During a four-week period, Year 2 children from local primary schools were invited into Stockport Grammar Junior School and given the opportunity to attend a series of music sessions with Miss Micklethwaite.

From being “too hot for fun” to a “wonderful weather Wednesday which was wet and windy”, our Nursery girls and boys have settled into their new school very happily.

Thanks to the amazing Stopfordian Parents’ Association volunteers, each year the SGS community of parents and pupils comes together to have fun while raising funds to enhance the children’s school experience. 248 young mathematicians from 33 primary schools across Greater Manchester gathered at Stockport Grammar School on the 26th and 27th June for the annual Maths Challenges for Year 5 children.

The Junior School’s Year 5 and 6 Choir enjoyed a fabulous and memorable four-day concert tour to Cambridge and Ely.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Stockport Grammar School’s Bursary Golf Day, in association with Vernon Building Society, was blessed with stunning blue skies, warm weather and a course in fantastic condition.

During May, pupils in Years Four, Five and Six had an unforgettable time as they embarked on their residentials.

Nursery boys and girls were thrilled to welcome Little Barn Mobile Farm into school as they found out more about farm life and caring for animals.

A number of Year Five and Six pupils had an amazing time in Bardonecchia, Italy as they embarked on a ski trip.
