This year’s Spring Concert, which takes place on Tuesday 12th March at 7:30pm at St George’s Church, will see performances from the Chamber Choir, Chorus, First Orchestra, Junior Chamber Choir, String Orchestra and Wind Orchestra.

The evening will feature a varied selection of choral repertoire by Chamber Choir and Junior Chamber Choir. Chorus will sing Chilcott’s ‘Nidaros Jazz Mass’ for choir and jazz band accompaniment. Sixth Form pupil Jonathan Hyde will perform Svendsen’s ‘Romanze’ for violin and orchestra. This will be accompanied by First Orchestra, who will also perform the first movement of Haydn’s ‘Symphony No. 104’.

Sixth Form pupil Sam Burrows will perform the ‘Romanza’ from Karl Jenkins’ ‘Euphonium Concerto’ with Wind Orchestra, who will also play Verdi’s ‘Triumphal March’. String Orchestra will be playing Bach’s ‘Suite in D’, which includes the famous ‘Air on a G String’.
