Lower Sixth DT students shine with competition designs

Design and Technology (DT) students in Lower Sixth took part in the Wildlife Haven competition where they had to design and build a product that would help to preserve a wildlife species of their choice.

They had to consider the species they were designing for – some chose birds whilst others chose hedgehogs, bats and bugs.

The students used the full day to measure and mark their pieces, cut and sand, assemble and finish their pieces.

The designers performed exceptionally well and the DT staff spent a lot of time deliberating who would win the top three prizes.

Upon the completion of deliberations, Ben Lavender was third, Tamsin Emery placed second and Anjali Abraham took top spot.

Well done to everyone who took part – there were some amazing designs on show!
