This year’s wonderful Leavers’ Concert brilliantly rounded off the Upper Sixth musicians’ time at SGS.

The school’s talented musicians continued to impress as they took to the stage for this year’s Summer Concert.

St George’s Church was full of anticipation as 127 performers from First Year through to Upper Sixth completed their final preparations and the audience took their seats ready to hear the results of weeks of rehearsal.

The 1st XV rugby team showed excellent determination and teamwork as they made it all the way to the semi-final of the U18 National Schools Plate Competition.

The audiences at this year’s Dance Show were transported to Hollywood thanks to two wonderful productions of ‘A Night At The Movies’.

We are delighted to be hosting our annual Bursary Golf Day in association with Brewin Dolphin on Thursday 16th June 2022 at Stockport Golf Club, one of Cheshire’s premier golf venues.

Pupils at Stockport Grammar School have been enjoying some fantastic new facilities with developments for both the youngest Nursery children and the oldest in Sixth Form. This follows recent redevelopment work in the Junior School.

Students in the Lower Sixth delivered three outstanding performances of this year’s play, ‘Frogs: What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace, Love And Understanding’.

An excited crowd headed to the Dining Hall to take in the wonderful sounds of SGS musicians who performed a plethora of songs at the Christmas Concert.

It was amazing to have a live crowd back at Stockport Grammar School for the Autumn Concert, the first in-person concert since the Spring term of 2020.

Lower Sixth student Lydia Barker will travel across the Irish Sea after impressing the judges to win this year’s Albert Johnston Award competition.

The Senior School marked Anti-Bullying Week with a special assembly, dedicated form time and an inspiring One Kind Word activity.
