Performing Arts
At Stockport Grammar School, pupils of all ages have the opportunity to participate in an exciting range of drama productions as well as musical performances and dance shows.
Regular musical productions bring together drama, music, dance and backstage teams in an exciting collaboration to showcase and develop our pupils’ talents. Recent productions have included ‘Wind In The Willows’ (watch a video of the performance), ‘The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe’ (watch a video selection of highlights from the show), ‘The Production That Doesn’t Quite Go As Well As Expected’, ‘Chicago’ and ‘Sister Act’. This followed hot on the heels of ‘Taste of Dance’, ‘A Christmas Carol’ (view a selection of scenes from one of the performances) and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Membership of our drama and dance clubs is free of charge.
We were delighted to have been awarded a Platinum Artsmark Award, the highest possible grading, by the Arts Council England.
