Building excitement – not just Lego
Nick from JuniorStem returned to the Junior School to run more of his ever-popular Lego workshops.

Pupils from Years 3, 4 and 5 were extremely enthusiastic and enjoyed the invaluable sessions immensely.

The children loved building their models and the buzz reached fever pitch as they got to explore different ways they could program them and make use of different sensors.

Each workshop was progressively more challenging for the children and Art and Design Technology Teacher Mr Andrew Taylor was particularly pleased to see Year 5 utilising their recently acquired knowledge of gears.

Years 5 and 6 will complete further work on control technology using Crumble kits with Mr Taylor.

Nick will be returning to school in the Summer Term next term to run sessions with boys and girls in Years 1 and 2.
