Year 6 marvel in mystical musical comedy
The Junior School’s production of ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits’ lit up the stage with vibrant colour, sharp comedy, and a cast full of confidence.
From the opening number to the final bow, the audience enjoyed joyful performances that highlighted the Year 6 children’s hard work, talent, and infectious enthusiasm.
This year’s show stood out for its brilliant humour. The pupils delivered their lines with impeccable timing, landing punchlines that had the Main Hall audience roaring with laughter.
The cast also impressed with their focus and preparation. Every line, lyric, and cue was delivered with assurance – a clear reflection of their dedication throughout rehearsals.
Altogether, it was a production bursting with sparkle, spirit, and superb storytelling.
The pupils should feel incredibly proud of creating a show that was not only polished, but genuinely funny from start to finish.
Beth H played one of the bazaar traders and she said: “I enjoyed how nerve-wracking and exciting the feel of performing was, it just felt so amazing!”
Genie of the Ketchup Nancy M commented: “I loved my solo and performing so much, and I only got to do that because of Mrs Peters! Thank you!”
Jacob T played a citizen. He remarked: “I loved doing the play, it was truly an amazing experience,” while Sam P, Booboo the Money in the show, added: “My favourite part of the play was being onstage with my friends and having a great time.”
