Disneyland Paris becomes a Maths playground for pupils
Over 30 Fourth Year pupils travelled to mainland Europe for the annual Maths trip to Disneyland Paris.
The mathematicians attended a seminar on the many ways people who work for the resort require maths and how understanding it helps shape the customer experience.
From scaling the Ratatouille ride so that you feel like a tiny rat while you whizz around a giant kitchen, to the way rollercoasters are designed to give you the biggest thrills.
The pupils were then set up with an investigation task to carry out while they enjoyed the park. They put their findings into a report when they returned to school.
It was inspiring to learn the fun and exciting places maths can take you. What a thrilling and educational trip.
