Juniors celebrate Red Nose Day 2025
Junior School pupils were delighted to raise almost £1,000 for Comic Relief as they celebrated Red Nose Day.
Community spirit was on full display as the children, stunningly clad in a red accessory, engaged in many different curriculum activities.
The day started off with the Charity Reps Benjamin C and Lola W delivering a special assembly about the charity and the work they do. They rounded off their presentation with some side-splitting jokes.
Upper Key Stage 2 children looked at Article 28 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (the right to education), lower Key Stage 2 pupils drafted poems and Infants created funny faces in Art Club.
During the day pupils were encouraged to tell jokes to spread joy, and some staff even recited a few funny ones!
At lunchtime the children enjoyed devouring a special cake created by our amazing Catering team.
Charities Co-ordinator and Year 3 Teacher Mrs Lisa Turner said: “A massive thank you to everyone for your generosity and support during Red Nose Day.
“Your donations, along with the enthusiasm of our pupils and staff, have made a significant difference in helping Comic Relief support children in need.”
