Mobile farm visit delights Nursery pupils
The excitement in the Nursery was off the scale as the Little Barn Mobile Farm paid a visit to the Junior School.

In beautiful sunshine, June the duck, Bluey the calf, Nacho the sheep, lambs Larry and Margot, and rabbits Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail took up residence near the school’s forest area.

Natalie from the farm introduced the animals to the boys and girls and talked about how she looks after them and what they like to eat.

She also spoke about all of the other animals at the farm.

The animals enjoyed a cuddle and pat from the pupils, and there were lots giggles when the bouncy lambs ran out for their bottle of milk!

June the duck brought her own paddling pool and after waddling out to meet the class, she gave them a little quack and delicately dived into her pool – giving the children a cold-water splash!

It was such a fabulous day – one that was enjoyed by children and staff alike!

Pupil Poppy N said: “We got to feed the little baby cow. He was black and was called Bluey. He drunk milk.”

Bobby G commented: “The rabbits were fluffy and soft. We cuddled and stroked them rabbits.”

Lyla C added: “We were stroking June. She felt quite soft, had a paddling pool and splashed all of us!”
