Passion and sportsmanship on display at Junior School Sports Day

Year 5 and 6 boys race at the Junior School's 2025 Sports Day

Towards the end of the 2024-2025 academic year, Junior School pupils embraced the chance to represent their House at Sports Day.

Children from Nursey to Year 2 were up first and they excitedly put their best foot forward on the all-weather surface at the front of the school building.

A large and enthusiastic crowd cheered on the girls and boys as they ran, jumped and hopped their way to the finish line.

It was amazing to see the camaraderie on show and how determined and eager the pupils were.

The following day saw Year 3 to 6 pupils bring incredible energy and House spirit to their Sports Day.

Despite the weather cutting short some of the throwing and jumping events, the rain couldn’t wash away the excitement.

Pupils competed with enthusiasm and passion, showing outstanding sportsmanship as they cheered each other on throughout the day.

With scores neck and neck heading into the relays, the final races proved decisive – shaking up the leaderboard and making for a thrilling finish!

When all of the results were collated, Arden finished first, Nicholson placed second, Vernon came third and Warren ended up fourth.
