Pupils amaze in action-packed Year 6 production

Year 6 pupils had a great time taking audiences on a jovial journey through medieval Middle England during their production of ‘Robin And The Sherwood Hoodies’.

The story sees Maid Marion hire a band of freedom fighters for protection, but when Robin and his Merry Men arrive, she realises that they are not exactly what she had ordered!

Audiences enjoyed following the outlaws on their action-packed adventure – an adventure that featured shocks, surprises, jokes and comic capers!

The crazy characters included King John, Gavin Gutwrencher and Friar Tuck whilst some pupils grouped together to play guards, villagers and even skunks!

Pupil Hugh C-P said: “Singing and dancing with all my friends gave me immense joy. I am honoured to have been part of this wonderful play, delivering my lines and acting the night away.”

Pupils Alice W and Alba C commented “We were both villagers and we really enjoyed all the singing and dancing” whilst Zoyah A added “I will always remember this amazing and fun experience forever!”

Teacher Mrs Alison Sullivan, who was in charge of the amazing production, said: “I am so proud of the Year 6 pupils, pulling off such an amazing production in such a short amount of time.

“They acted brilliantly, sang beautifully and danced enthusiastically! It was a real team effort and a pleasure to be involved with the whole event.”

Head Mr Matthew Copping concluded: “The Year 6 pupils put on an absolutely fantastic couple of shows! It was inspiring to see how hard they worked to ensure that the production ran smoothly. The audience loved watching the pupils on stage and I, along with the rest of the Junior School staff, are so proud of them!”
