Year 3 Taster Day bookings open
Is your Year 2 child ready to push their potential beyond the classroom? If they are, book now for a Year 3 Taster Day on 21st March!
With over 70 co-curricular activities, specialist teaching, small class sizes and a vast school site to explore, let us show you what makes Stockport Grammar Junior School exceed expectations.

The taster day will run from 9.30am to 3.10pm. We have a timetable of activities designed to stretch the imagination with new educational experiences that will ignite an excitement for the move to Junior School!
The Taster Day will include:
- Maths investigations
- Art session with our subject specialist teacher
- A chance to explore the school
- The legendary SGS lunch
- Swimming lesson – all ability levels
- Hands-on experiments in our Science Room
Lunch and refreshments are provided and there is a wide range of choice to suit most tastes and dietary requirements.
Children are to attend in comfortable clothes, wearing trainers and bring their swimming kit. All other equipment for the day is provided, just bring a smile and the enthusiasm to try new activities!
Following drop-off at 9.30am, parents and guardians are invited to take a tour of the Junior School with Head Mr Matthew Copping.
