Year 6 artists hop into creativity
Year 6 pupils were excited to welcome local artist Lucy Burgess back into school for their latest creative task.

On previous visits Lucy helped Year 5 and 6 children design their reading area and created a mural near the Junior School’s outdoor musical playground with a group of Year 6 boys and girls.

For their latest art project, the pupils were asked to create a collaged frog.

At the start of the assignment Lucy showed the children the frogs that she had designed as part of the Stockport Frog Trail.

The children were asked to take inspiration from this for their own designs.

The young artists worked really hard over a three-day period to complete their frog in time to exhibit their designs in a gallery.

The army of frogs were quite a sight to behold in the Hall and the children were rightly very proud to show their work to their parents.
