High turnout for School Council Year Reps election

The Year Representatives for the School Council

We are pleased to announce that the Year Representatives for the School Council have been elected!

Towards the end of September, the Senior Prefects – Council and Section Reps attended Lower and Middle School assemblies to speak about the Year Reps election and why pupils should get involved.

Candidates who wanted to stand for election were then filmed explaining why they wanted to be considered to be a year rep. These videos were shown to forms so that they could make an informed decision on election day.

On 11th October pupils headed to the ballot boxes under the arches, which were manned by the Section Reps, to cast their vote.

When the ballots were counted, the results were as follows:

  • First Year – Charley Ashton in 1T
  • Second Year – William Lloyd in 2W
  • Third Year – Matthew Ridgway in 3W
  • Fourth Year – Rix Tang in 4U
  • Fifth Year – June Moore in 5A and Chris Parikh in 5O

Well done to the elected individuals, and to everyone who put their name forward. And a big thank you the pupils who voted. There was an exceptionally high turnout from each year group, and it is pleasing to see pupils so involved and engaged.
