Third and Fourth Year pupils enjoyed a successful exchange trip to Paris where they created a host of lifelong memories.

The trip began with a guided tour of Collège Sévigné and its surroundings. The pupils then jumped on a boat for a ride on the Seine where they viewed monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Pont Neuf from a different perspective.

The group spent the weekend with their host families. One linguist was lucky enough to attend the French football cup final at the Stade de France, whilst another attended Dua Lipa’s concert.

The adventures resumed on Monday with a guided tour of the Montmartre area and a visit to the museum.

Bubble Planet, an immersive and fun way to discover everything to do with bubbles and balloons, was the venue for Tuesday’s first activity. In the afternoon, pupils visited the prestigious ‘Musée des Sciences et de l’Industrie’.

Wednesday morning was spent near Notre-Dame before the pupils made their way to the airport where they flew back to England full of great memories and souvenirs.

Reflecting on the exchange, Fourth Year pupil Rix Tang said: “The French exchange was an absolutely phenomenal trip!

“The parents of my exchange student brought me into the France 2 morning TV show studio to witness the live show – it was such a unique experience, I can’t believe I had the luxury of this!

“My exchange student was very nice and friendly, and sometimes he even called his other friends who were also in the exchange to his house so we could play Mario Kart. This deepened our friendship.

“I think my French really improved throughout the trip and I can implement my French skills to French natives!”
